Public transport fare review to factor i...

I dont mind to pay more if the bus operators are not earning any profit. The fact is both SMRT and SBS Transits are making a profit. Why cant the increment be paid from the profit?   Is it because these companies are public listed and hence shareholder will not be happy? If so, pse nationalised these companies!
